She led the SBA through the COVID-19 crisis and economic recovery-overseeing $1.2T in pandemic relief and a $500B portfolio, driving historic reforms that expanded access to capital and contracting, and serving as the voice for America’s 34 million small businesses. Her tenure ushered in a new era of government innovation – modernizing programs, realigning operations, and unlocking record levels of investment.

Previously, she served as California’s top small business official and has founded and advised multiple ventures. Isabel continues to champion entrepreneurship, systems change, and inclusive economic growth.
