Luis Alberto Scola

Luis Alberto Scola is a retired Argentine basketball legend and the current CEO of Pallacanestro Varese in Italy. He rose to prominence in Spain with Baskonia, winning league and cup titles and earning two All-EuroLeague First Team selections. In 2007, he made his NBA debut with the Houston Rockets, where he was named to the All-Rookie First Team, before going on to play for Phoenix, Indiana, Toronto, and Brooklyn.
On the international stage, Scola became the leader of Argentina’s iconic “Golden Generation,” guiding the team to Olympic gold in 2004 and bronze in 2008. He is Argentina’s all-time leading scorer in major competitions and a four-time FIBA AmeriCup MVP, achievements that firmly establish his legacy as one of the most influential international players in basketball history.
