Rene Alegria is a media executive and cultural innovator, who currently serves as Chief Innovation Officer at Nueva Network. The Burbs Network is the largest independently owned Spanish language audio network in the US, working with more than 500 radio stations.

He was most recently the President and CEO of MundoNow. Under his leadership, the digital-first platform MundoNow achieved extraordinary success, earning 36 Emmy Awards in just four years, including an Emmy for Alegria, recognizing his outstanding excellence in media leadership. He also spearheaded the launch of Oyenos Audio, a pioneering Latino podcast network that redefined storytelling for the bilingual and bicultural U.S. Latino community.

Rene’s expertise and influence have been recognized across major platforms, including The Today Show, The New York Times, USA Today, CBS Early Show, The Daily Beast, and Fox News. He was named one of the 100 Most Influential Latinos by Hispanic Magazine, cementing his status as a thought leader in his field.

As the founding CEO of Mamiverse Media, he created a digital platform dedicated to empowering Latina moms and their families. The platform made history by hosting an exclusive live-chat event with First Lady Michelle Obama, becoming the first of its kind to do so.

Before Mamiverse, Rene founded and served as the publisher of Rayo/HarperCollins, an award-winning publishing imprint committed to elevating Latino voices through literature. His strategic marketing and publicity campaigns not only won over 100 International Latino Book Awards but also redefined how U.S. Latinos are perceived—as a vibrant, content-savvy, and economically impactful community.
