Zulay Henao is a Colombian American actress and entrepreneur. Henao’s career spans film and television, rising to fame for her breakout role in Fighting alongside Channing Tatum, lead performance in Takers, Tyler Perry’s Single Mom’s Club, If Loving You is Wrong, and The Oath.

She founded Modern Muze, a digital lifestyle platform that marries her artistic and entrepreneurial passions to serve Latinas living in the 200%. Modern Muze was born from Henao’s desire to create community, an elevated space for multicultural women to see themselves as their own Muze and establish a meaningful space that honors the brand’s four pillars: Beauty, Fashion, Wellness and Motherhood.

The Medellín native moved to the United States when she was four, growing up between Manhattan’s Lower East Side and Northern New Jersey. After graduating high school, she enlisted in the Army, serving at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, before returning to New York City to study at the New York Conversatory of the Dramatic Arts and launch her artistic career.

She met her life partner, actor, and producer, Kevin Connolly, on set on The Oath. They welcomed their first daughter together in 2021, Kennedy Cruz. Henao and her family live in Los Angeles, California.
